Stay Focused, Keep Dreaming and Enjoy the Ride.

This is my first post in a few months. I have just recently graduated with my M.B.A. in Fashion Management/Entrepreneurship. It was a long hard year, but finished with high honors. I worked full-time and attended school full-time. It was a very challenging yet rewarding because I learned a great deal about myself and stretched my limitations. It forced me to create habits that are not normal to the average human being and would force many to give up. I am still human with limitations, it is that my no-limit personality has allowed me to do things that people are unwilling to do that people may think are impossible; that is the essence of success. Booker T. Washington was correct when he stated, “Excellence is to do a common thing an uncommon way.” Challenge yourself to be different.

During my past year of strength building I developed some of these habits; I received 5-6 hours of sleep a night, worked out twice a day, worked 16-18 hour days (school and work) and had a diet of oatmeal, eggs, chicken, almonds and broccoli. My body and mind was forced to perform at an optimal level, thus the fuel I was putting inside my body was fuel for survival. When a person is put up against a situation where they either adapt or die you adapt; survival of the fittest. In order to achieve the results I needed to perform at an optimal level with minimal room for error. That said, I made many mistakes, but my successes have outweighed those mistake and only have made me stronger. I now have the confidence that I will get the job done a higher level than the most skilled individual. I may not be the smartest or most skilled individual, but I will discipline myself to win and perform at a higher level. My ability to stay focused was what made me endure the long nights of no sleep, failing over and over again and going the extra two miles to overcome an obstacle and defeat an opponent. It is vital that an individual stays focused on their main goal.
