Follow your heart: One time around should be enough.

Throughout my life I have always been driven to live life to the fullest. Whether it was with friends, enjoying quality time with family or chasing my dreams, I have always thought to follow my heart. I have always thought this way and have always been attracted to individuals who believe that time is the most valuable resource then practice that belief daily. Even when I listened to Steve Jobs commencement speech to the Stanford graduates (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UF8uR6Z6KLc) , I was again inspired to stay hungry, follow my heart and take the risk.

I wake up every morning and look in the mirror to ask myself, if this were my last day, would I be happy with what I am about to do today? When the answer is no enough times consecutively, I make the decision to make a change. Donald Trump said,”without passion you do not have energy and without energy you have nothing.” To follow your heart and live out your passions is not the easy road, but it is the most rewarding road. Sometimes in order for this to come to fruition you may have to risk what means most to you. In the end what is the bigger risk, following your heart or following someone else’s? I think people seek security and immediate gratification. Depending on their dream and current stage in life, this in itself forces the individual to sacrifice what their heart is telling them. If your heart deep down is telling you to choose security, then that is your chosen dream. Just make sure that you follow your heart in that path and take the necessary calculated risks.

Many people have many reasons about what would fulfill their life to be content with living one time around. Could you imagine what would life be like if we had nothing to fear? It may feel uncomfortable, but this is the only way to grow and really attain true happiness. The only way to ensure that this is achieved is to understand where your heart is and take the risk. Keep dreaming and enjoy the ride.
