Adversity is Your Best Friend


It is not where you are, but where you are going that is most important. I have dealt with this thought and challenge before. I know as a reader you have the same challenges as me with large dreams and becoming frustrated about where you are in the process. The path is dusty and hard to see, that is why it is important to create a new one that tests your limitations. “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” Ralph Waldo Emerson. It might cross your mind, “how can someone in my position get to where I want to go.” That is just it. It is okay to have that thought cross your mind, it is natural, but to give into that thought will ensure you never arrive there. I know this is not the first time this thought has crossed your mind. It is in this time of adversity that defines who you are that clarifies your commitment to your dreams that challenges your courage. That said, you must understand that if you’re taking the road less traveled each new obstacle is greater than the last. Each time the adversity is challenged and defeated your tenacity and faith is strengthened.  If you want to achieve and sustain your dream, then your faith and tenacity must be maximized. Adversity is your best friend.

Handling Fear


I struggle daily with the thought of fear and doubt. Each instance I handle it by trusting my belief and relying on faith in myself. I understand that as human beings we will never escape the thought of fear. The best individuals know that to remove fear is unrealistic. These individuals understand that it is not the elimination of fear, rather the ability to control the fear, have faith and use fear as energy to strive for ones dreams. Through hard work one will find that the fear will always be there, but the faith and hope they have is stronger.

I let my faith and belief in my hard work and self discipline that my dream will come to fruition. I have faith that whichever situation I am thrown into I will be resourceful enough to bring that dream and idea to success. I truly believe that the high achievers do not run from this fear but run right into it finding ways to tackle it and use it as positive energy. Remember to never let your fears get in the way of your goals. When something scares the shit out of you which makes that first step very difficult, your thought process is correct. Many people stop right there, but this is where my adrenaline kicks in and I start to find ways to make it work. Let the fact that you are taking the first step that everyone fears build yourself and strengthen your faith and belief. Get excited you are trying something most others are afraid to do. You either give into the fear or have faith in yourself.
